same old same old!

Not much new to report here!

Ben is still doing well in school. I helped out in his classroom last week and had a blast. I went to art class with them, then helped out in his classroom. They were working on a Thanksgiving craft and were also making lap blankets to give out to people at a local nursing home at Christmas. I am scheduled to help out in the classroom again after Thanksgiving. If I had more time I'd do it more often - it was fun to meet all of the kids Ben talks about.

Evan is doing pretty well in his new preschool. He is potty training, which is an adventure in itself. He's such a boy. He could care less if he's wet, which doesn't help matters. Ben was really, really easy to potty train - he was just ready, and within a week he was done. Evan is another story. We're in week 4, and he's still having 1-2 accidents a day. I'm doing a load of laundry a day. Also, Ben was most comfortable sitting down to pee... Evan likes to stand up. This means there is pee all over both of our bathrooms! An average trip to the bathroom yields about 1/3 of the urine INTO the toilet... the other 2/3 is on the wall, the floor, etc. It just adds to the laundry pile! Oh well. The joy of boys!

I have been swamped with pictures, and not necessarily motivated to work on them. I'm finishing one set of wedding proofs, as well as three books in process and some family pictures. It's just difficult because I have no time during the week to work on them, and my weekends are busy with cleaning, and heaven forbid spending time with the boys. By the time I get home at night it's atlest 6, then I make dinner, clean it up, give the boys a bath, help Ben with homework and get them ready for bed. By that time it's 9 or so, and I want to go to bed! I'm usually up by 5:30 in the morning to get to work by 8. Last night I worked on pictures until 1 am and got a lot done... if I were 22 instead of 32, I could probably pull that more often. Getting old sucks!

That's about it from here. We're hosting both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, and on top of everything else I've vowed to finish the wallpaper in the dining room before Thanksgiving. I only started it in the spring! Really, it's probably 8-12 hours of work left... I just have way too much on my plate right now. If anyone is feeling creative and wants to help me wallpaper... :)
